Schools
Information for schools considering the Island for a group visit is available from the Department in the form of a school pack. This includes a list of hotels that are able and willing to accept schools, Isle of Man Guide and various pieces of printed literature that will help the planning of any school trip to the Island.
Familiarisation Visits
The Department of Tourism will consider funding, or part funding, of individual fam visits by head teachers or organisers considering the Isle of Man as a destination for their students. Applications in the first instance should be made in writing to the address below.
Schools Journey Association
The Isle of Man Department of Tourism works with the above association, who are a charitable trust and have been organising trips to the Island since 1959, to promote school trips to the Island. Joint Marketing
All Travel Trade Companies promoting tourism to the Isle of Man (whether to individuals or to groups) may apply for limited marketing support from the Department of Tourism. An overall marketing plan should be submitted with a request for a specified contribution from the Department. This will be considered.
If funds are allocated a government order form will be issued for the amount allocated. The funds will not be released until receipted 3rd party invoices totalling the relevant marketing costs are received.
